Why is the water level high?
Submersible Pump Failure
One of the most common causes is a faulty submersible pump.
The submersible pump is responsible for:
- pumping treated water to the irrigation area
- lowering water levels in the pump chamber
If the pump stops working:
- water levels rise
- the alarm activates
- the system can no longer disperse water effectively
This is one of the first things a technician will check.
Heavy Rain and Stormwater Ingress

Although HSTP systems are designed as sealed units, extreme weather conditions can sometimes result in:

If the alarm remains active after:
- rain has stopped
- power has been restored
- the system has had time to recover
it’s time for further investigation.
Can I Silence the Alarm?
Most alarm panels have a mute or silence function.
This will usually stop the beeping temporarily.
However:
๐ Silencing the alarm does not fix the problem.
The underlying cause still needs to be identified.
